4 Salient Features of the Latest iPhone 15 Series
Apple has recently launched the iPhone 15, and users worldwide are eager to discover what this new series has to offer in terms of features, design, technology, camera systems, and other specifications. Everyone will be reviewing these aspects to determine if this phone meets their needs. In this article, we will explore some key aspects to expect from the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
1. Design upgrade
Apple is known for its sophisticated design and has once again delighted its customers with its new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max designs. One major change is the titanium casing, which makes the phone look slimmer than previous models. Additionally, the models feature a more advanced 48-megapixel main camera with a larger sensor and a telephoto lens that enables 5x optical zoom, which is exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The Pro models of the iPhone 15 have contoured edges and an Action button that can be customized by the user to perform personal functions. The phone is available in five colors: white, black, yellow, pink, and green, and comes in two different screen sizes. The iPhone 15 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Pro boasts a 6.7-inch screen.
2. USB C charging
Apple has been using its proprietary Lightning charging cable for the past 11 years. However, with the release of the new iPhone 15, the company has made the switch to a USB-C charging cable. This shift is convenient for iPhone users because the new charger can also charge the MacBook and iPad in addition to the iPhone. Apple has stated that a dedicated USB-C controller will allow for transfer speeds up to 20 times faster than using USB 2 technology.
The brand has made a significant change due to the legislation initiated in the European Union. The law required all gadgets, including smartphones, digital cameras, tablets, portable speakers, and some other small devices, to be supported by USB charging. As a result, the brand is now providing USB-C charging for its devices. Additionally, the brand offers consumers the option of purchasing a USB-C lightning adapter for $29. This adapter allows users to connect their existing lighting accessories to a USB-C-enabled iPhone or iPad, making it easier to share data and charge their devices.
3. New battery setting
Many iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro users complained about an unexpected battery capacity drop off. To prevent this issue, a new 80 percent limit has been introduced. This means that the iPhone will only charge up to 80 percent and then stop. Once the battery drains to lower than 80 percent, it will start charging again until it reaches 80 percent. The phone will use the existing Optimised Battery Charging setting based on the user’s usage pattern and hold the charging at 80 percent until it realizes that the user will need to use the phone again. At that point, it will bring the battery up to full. This new limit is expected to help users avoid unexpected battery issues.
4. Action Button
The side Action Button has replaced the ring/vibrate switch. Users can customize the setting according to their requirements and use. It has been reported that Tesla owners have been using this Action Button to unlock their cars, open the trunk, and even start the AC or heating, depending on the weather. To unlock this feature, Tesla owners need to use the Tesla app.
To access the settings of this button, simply go to Settings and then to the Action Button. Users will see an image on the screen that gives a visual cue to what the button could be customized to do. One can then swipe to the action one wants to be performed. Some actions that one can choose from include Silent Mode, Focus, Camera, Flashlight, Voice Memo, Magnifier, Shortcut to an app that is used frequently, Accessibility, and a No Action function.
Users can speak to a sales executive and read thorough reviews to get details about these new iPhone models. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are priced at $799 and $899, respectively, while the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are available at starting prices of $999 and $1,199.
